LA General is the flagship public hospital in Los Angeles, and one of the largest public hospital in the country. It is a 600-bed hospital that also houses numerous primary care and subspecialty outpatient clinics, a 24-hour pharmacy, Wellness Center, and patient support services.

Keck Hospital of USC

Keck Hospital of USC is known for some of the following impressive features: it is a 400-bed tertiary care hospital that features numerous ICUs (MICU, CT-SICU, CCU, Neuro ICU, and SICU), and nationally-recognized transplant programs.


Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital of USC

Norris is a major teaching and research cancer center. Our fellow rotates through Norris as part of their Palliative Care experience.

VA-Sepulveda Community Living Center (CLC)

Situated in the San Fernando Valley, the CLC is home to a 120-bed skilled nursing facility. Our fellow cares for a panel of nursing home patients here every two weeks, and also has a 1 month nursing home block rotation each year. The interior may look familiar: it stars as Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy.

Downtown VA Ambulatory Care Center

A large VA outpatient center located at the borders of Little Tokyo, Arts District, and Downtown Los Angeles. Rotations include Home-Based Primary Care and Subspecialty Clinics. Our fellow receives a $27 daily meal stipend while rotating here — to explore Little Tokyo and Arts District.
